Hanwah SolarOne and HaWi found strategic partnership

Hanwah SolarOne and the HaWi Energietechnik AG place their trust in a future-oriented strategic partnership. As of September 2011, HaWi will sell the quality modules of the Korean corporation.

"Effective immediately we will supplement our portfolio with poly and monocrystalline modules from HanWah SolarOne and in this way address the requirements of the market for crystalline quality modules with an optimal price-performance ratio", according to Dr. Knut Hamann, head of purchase department, product manager and head of technology at HaWi.

The completely vertically integrated module manufacturer with its own ingot-, wafer- and cell-production is comprehensively certified and generally attaches considerable importance to a high standards of quality.

The manufacturer is listed with PV Cycle and offers 5 year product and 25 year performance guarantees on all modules.

"We are very pleased to have found a reliable partner in the HaWi Energietechnik AG, which brings along 25 years of experience and will accompany us along our path", according to Justin (K.Y.) Lee, Chief Commercial Officer at Hanwah SolarOne.

"We carried out an extensive screening process in advance and decided in favour of the right partner, in the interests of our customers.", said Rudolf Schmalhofer, HaWi member of the board for Operative Business and Finances following the negotiations.
