Since 2011, the HaWi technology and logistics center in Eggenfelden has been official PV CYCLE collecting point where installers can take modules of any brand listed at PV CYCLE if the modules have reached end-of-life status or can no longer be used due to damages caused by transport or installation.

Due to the fact that a considerable number of PV modules will slowly reach the end-of-life status as of 2015, PV CYCLE set itself the target to create an industry-wide voluntary collection and recycling system for end-of-life modules throughout Europe. Since its foundation in 2007, many manufacturers have already joined the association – today PV CYCLE is representing approx. 85 % of the European PV market.
